Quilting is my therapy

So in 2015, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I fell into a depression and needed an outlet. I don’t know why I chose quilting and sewing. I even went as far as to open up an Etsy shop and was making custom baby outfits. I picked up a quilting magazine from Joann’s one day and thought I would give it a try but probably would end up failing. Well 15+ quilts later, it is one of my favorite things to do. It really is all about cutting squares, triangles, and other shapes and piecing them together to make beautiful blocks. You would think all that math, measuring, ironing would seem like a chore. But it kept my mind busy and was so relaxing. Now after a stressful week or long day I will piece a block together and add it to my stash.

My hubby who loves to build things made these beautiful frames to feature my favorite blocks
