Happy New Year ~ 2020 ~ A new decade!

Happy New Year

Are you excited? What are your plans? Your goals? Your resolutions? Have you created your why list? I know that is a lot of questions for this early in the morning. Do you remember my post, 20 Goals for 2020? If not I will link it here

Goals. Not resolutions. Resolutions are for the birds. So I started a little early on my 2020 goals. One of my major goals was to lose weight and be healthy. I have a long why list. Keep reading and we will get to my why list shortly. So on 12/26/19 I started the Keto diet. If you don’t know what that is then check out this post. I have done Keto before and was quite successful. And for almost a year kept most of the weight off. As of today I am down 6lbs. I am chipping away at my goal of losing 60lbs. I know I can do it.  I also joined a Pilates class. The class I joined uses the reformer stations. I literally worked muscles I had know idea were even there. Club Pilates is amazing.

Another goal for 2020 is to save money. So armed with my new bullet journal, pretty pens, and a plan I have created a beautiful budget. Yes I know. We have computers for that, however I am one of those type of people that like to write things down. And for those things to be pretty. It kind of gives me inspiration. I will post below some examples of what those pages look like.

And another very important goal for me is to publish my next book. It is written and in the editing process now. I am actually using a publisher for this book so the process is a little longer, a little more expensive and a lot more tedious. But I think it will be well worth it!

2020 - Will it be easy? Nope. Will it be worth it? Absolutely!

What are your goals? You don’t have to have 20 like me. But make a goal, start planning now, and know you have 364 days to make it happen! Sounds so much nicer than resolutions right? If you are a planner like me (meaning you like to see it, write it, etc) then check out these tools I am currently using. If not, well there are APPs for that. Thousands of them!

2020 will be a great year and a very busy one. To close out this post today I want to leave you with a few bible verses to start the New Year with.

Better is the little that the righteous has than the abundance of many wicked.

Psalm 37:16

It doesn’t matter how much money you have or how many possessions. True wealth comes from relationships, happiness. God will provide for your basic needs; food and shelter.

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

Don’t tear people down because you don’t think they are doing something right. Instead help them, encourage them.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him.

Prayer is so very important. Give it to God and he will take care of it. But be patient. What you are praying for may not be what God has planned. His plan is greater, you must trust that.
